Do Deewane Seher Mein, directed by Ravi Udyawar and starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur, saw a 30% dip on its debut Wednesday. The film added Rs. 35 lakh to the overall 6-day cume, bringing it to Rs. 5.35 crore nett at the Indian box office.
The love movie, backed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is expected to gross around Rs. 5.50 crore in its opening week. Do Deewane Seher Mein will confront The Kerala Story 2 and Tere Naam’s re-release this weekend. It will be fascinating to see if the film starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur does well at the box office. Despite positive word-of-mouth, the film failed to gain the necessary momentum. If the film continues to perform similarly, it will become yet another box office disappointment.
For those unfamiliar, Do Deewane Seher Mein is a wonderful love story about an imperfect couple. While one struggles with his pronunciation, the other is determined to transform the world. Despite their stormy start, they eventually fall for each other. Aside from the starring pair, the film also has Ila Arun, Joy Sengupta, Ayesha Raza, Sandeepa Dhar, Naveen Kaushik, and others.
