The people lining up to “be his friend” aren’t doing so out of genuine affection or admiration—they’re doing it to use him as a pawn. They know that Trump is easily swayed by flattery and praise, and they’ve learned how to manipulate him to gain power and influence. These so-called “friends” are more interested in securing high-level positions and massive payoffs than in forming meaningful relationships. The moment Trump is no longer useful to them, they’ll move on, just like everyone else who’s stuck around to feed his ego.
This all paints a picture of a president who is surrounded by sycophants, using his power and influence to maintain a fragile sense of self-importance, while the rest of the world watches in a mix of disbelief and apathy.
