It has come to light that the leading hospital chain, Manipal Hospitals, based out of Bangalore, has collaborated with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, an Indian multinational pharmaceutical company located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, to manufacture the Russian COVID-19 vaccine, Sputnik V in addition to Covishield and Covaxin.
A limited pilot soft launch initiated by Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories in Hyderabad last month consists of providing the vaccines in Manipal Hospitals Bengaluru. The Enterprises chief operating officer of Manipal Hospitals, Karthik Rajagopal has put out a statement saying that Dr. Reddy’s and Manipal Hospital have been working tirelessly to create “state-of-the-art infrastructure” to store the Sputnik V vaccine as it needs to be stored at minus 18-degree centigrade. In addition to Manipal Hospitals making arrangements for storing the vaccine, Dr. Reddy’s has joint hands with Snowman Logistics to help maintain temperature control for the vaccine and aid in end-to-end logistics solutions for the delivery of Sputnik COVID-19 vaccine around the country.
He appended by saying that the hospital chain has been successful in conducting vaccination drives across the country with Covishield and Covaxin and will do so with Sputnik V too. The CEO of Dr. Reddy’s, M V Ramana has said “In the upcoming months, we hope to inoculate as many Indians as possible”. It is presumed that Sputnik V will be accessible to the public by the end of the month.
