Dune, one of the most anticipated upcoming epic science fiction movie that is directed by critically acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve with a screenplay written by Jon Spaihts, Villeneuve, and Eric Roth, will be having have a world premiere at the famed Venice Film International Festival, which is scheduled in September 2021. The verified Twitter handle of the Venice Film Festival has confirmed that the upcoming movie produced by Warner Bros based on Frank Herbert’s science fiction novel of the same name will have a world premiere at the event, and also mentioned that the premiere will be out-of-competition. The caption of the post also informed that the movie will be screened on Friday, September 3, 2021, in Sala Grande.

The movie includes a huge star cast; Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Stephen Henderson, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem. In the movie, Timothée Chalamet will be playing Prince Paul Atreides, who will be leading the nomadic tribes in a battle for control of the desert planet Arrakis in order to gain a special spice that extends human life, provides superhuman levels of thinking, and makes faster-than-light travel practical.
The movie had wrapped up production back in July 2019, which was announced by Brian Herbert, the son of the original Dune author Frank Herbert. Dune, which was scheduled to release in 2020 initially, is now scheduled to release in theatres on October 1, 2021. The movie will be simultaneously streaming on HBO Max as well.
