Elgar supports Boucher on disciplinary row issue

After the recent gross misconduct charge on South Africa head coach Mark Boucher, Test skipper Dean Elgar has come out in support. The skipper believes that there is more to it than just the charge, but also a threat to the coach’s job with the team.

As per reports, Boucher’s charges will eventually lead to his dismissal should the board ever choose to do so. However, Cricket South Africa believes that it is important to test all allegations against the coach before a penalty is served.

Fans were shocked to hear about the charges on the South African coach. There was a huge talk online on how it affected the team’s chemistry as a whole and what it could mean for their next set of games. Even those cricket fans who play in the best online casino still wonder the same.

CSA also states that any implicated party should have a fair chance to be heard before finality can be achieved. At the same time, the CSA has also confirmed that a charge sheet that has both the disciplinary charges against the coach and his rights was provided.

Elgar thinks that it is still unfair for the board to take him out of the staff should they come to that conclusion as well.

Elgar remains vocal in support of Boucher

Elgar has a lot of faith in his coach, but he also believes that the coach deserves a chance to be better. The skipper hopes that it is just another step towards a stronger team chemistry – a mistake to build on.

‘Irrespective of what our head coach is going through, we still support him through this process. We know the value he adds to our system and our group’, Elgar said. ‘We’ve had these tough times before, and I’d like to think it’s just another hurdle in our path that we have to get over’.

The left hander even said that his team needs to stay focused on their tasks as they head for a Test series in New Zealand. Elgar said that they got through most of those hurdles as a team, and he knows that they have to stick together as a strong squad as they did in the past few years amid many issues that surrounded them.

South Africa enjoyed a home series against India last January despite the same controversy. They went down 0-1 before clawing their way back into the series and winning it 2-1. The next ODI series even saw them walking away with a 3-0 whitewash.

Boucher’s racism charges

South Africa has drawn first blood in their ODI series with a 31-run win over the Men in Blue at Boland Park in Paarl. A strong Proteas side looks to score a series win, but all of it will depend on Mark Boucher’s status with the team as he proved to be a crucial mastermind for the squad.

With Boucher standing on those charges, the Proteas are in a tough spot for their next set of games. There is a disciplinary hearing that will be chaired by senior counsel advocate Terry Motau. The latter was appointed as the chairperson for the hearing into allegations of misconduct against the Proteas coach.

This also means that there are no exceptions to the hearing. Fans should be ready for some shocking decisions down the stretch as soon as these hearings conclude. Even those Proteas fans who play in the best online casino should be aware of these coming changes.

At the end of the day, the decision will play a huge role on how the Proteas will keep on winning in their next set of games. If Boucher remains as coach, then it would be a big win for the team and they may even make a huge run in their next set of games.
