Ellie Goulding and her husband Caspar Jopling have announced their separation. The musician, 37, who is well-known for songs like “River” and “Burn,” got married to the art dealer in August 2019 and welcomed Arthur, their son, in 2021.
The Herefordshire-born songwriter stated in an Instagram post that she had been left to publicly announce that they had been separated for “some time.”
She said, In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago.” She added, “We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our son’s best interests at heart. We are committed to protecting our family privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes – we won’t be commenting further.”
Goulding and Jopling married in a lavish ceremony at York Minster in 2019. It has been reported that the couple had been together since early 2017.

While Jopling donned a suit from Savile Row tailors Huntsman, the Brit award winner chose a classic traditional wedding gown with a train and veil designed by Natacha Ramsay-Levi for Chloe.
Goulding has four chart-topping albums in the UK, the most recent being Higher Than Heaven, which came out in 2023.
