Elon Musk’s xAI starts rolling out AI chatbot Grok to X’s premium subscribers; All you need to know

The AI-powered chatbot Grok, developed by Elon Musk’s AI startup xAI, has officially launched on X, the social media platform that was once known as Twitter.

XAI’s chatbot Grok has started rolling out to X Premium Plus users in the United States. Premium Plus is a $16 per month membership option that provides ad-free access to the social network as well as access to an AI chatbot.

The rollout will start with longtime subscribers and will be rolled out this week for all Premium+ users.

Gork is accessible via the X side menu on the web, iOS, and Android devices and can be put to the bottom menu in X’s mobile apps for faster access.

It is similar to ChatGPT and Google’s Bard AI models, which are chatbots that answer queries. The chatbot is powered by XAI’s Grok-1large language model, which has been trained using online data from the web up to Q3 2023 as well as feedback from human assistants. In addition, the chatbot may incorporate real-time data from X postings into its responses. Elon Musk previously stated in a tweet that Gork’s real-time access is a “massive advantage” over other models.

Grok can now only understand text and can’t comprehend the content of photos or videos. In any case, xAI has expressed its goal to develop the underlying model so that Grok can handle other modalities like as audio and video.
