Akash Deep made his Test debut in the 4th match between India and England at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi. Rahul Dravid, India’s head coach, granted Akash his Test cap moments before the toss on Friday. Jasprit Bumrah, who was rested from this match because of workload management, was replaced by the right-arm pacer. Akash Deep became India’s 313th Test cricketer.
After receiving his cap from the great Rahul Dravid, Akash Deep received a heartfelt hug from captain Rohit Sharma, while the other Indian cricketers clapped him on the back. After the cap ceremony, Akash Deep walked straight to his family, much like Sarfaraz Khan did in the previous Test.
He was seen touching his mother’s feet to seek her blessings before hugging her while his family members expressed their gratitude to the almighty in a touching moment. After that, Akash Deep posed for pictures with his family.
