England confirms 26-member squad for Euro 2020

In England squad, Ben White replaces Alexander-Arnold as he is suffering from a thigh injury. Brighton defender who was among those named in the provisional 33-man squad has now been selected by Gareth Southgate ahead of England’s opener against Croatia at Wembley on Sunday. White can play in defence and midfield and made his England debut in Sunday’s final friendly game against Romania.

Ben White reacted to the news on Twitter by saying that he was beyond proud and honoured and he will give his best. He played 36 matches for Brighton in the Premier League during the 2020/21 season and had been rewarded ahead of  Jesse Lingard and James Ward-Prowse, who had shown their quality for England in the past.

England’s 26-man squad for Euro 2020 includes goalkeepers like Dean Henderson, Sam Johnstone and Jordan Pickford. The defenders selected are Ben Chilwell, Conor Coady, Reece James, Harry Maguire, Tyrone Mings, Luke Shaw, John Stones, Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker and Ben White. The midfielders selected are Jude Bellingham, Jordan Henderson, Mason Mount, Kalvin Phillips and Declan Rice. The forwards selected are Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka, Jadon Sancho and Raheem Sterling. These are the 26-man squad picked by Gareth Southgate for Euro 2020 campaign for England.
