Eric Bailly, the Manchester United defender extended his contract until 2024 today. It was due to expire in the 2021/22 season but he decided to stay in Old Trafford.
Eric Bailly arrived in Manchester from La Liga side, Villarreal back in 2016 and from that time he has been an absolute pillar to the United defensive defensive wall.
He has fallen to some extent after the arrival of new coach Ole Solskjaer back in 2018, he was replaced by Harry Maguire, the record signing and has been used as a replacement for him.
He completed 100 appearances for the Manchester side in all competitions this season.
“I’m happy and so are my family, everything is good. Now the moment with my injury has passed and I’m fit and feel good, and that’s it. A new contract is like a new challenge and I’m ready for this”.
“For me, it’s the dream to be here. Now it’s my fifth season and I hope to be here a long time, we’re in a good position in the Europa League and Premier League as well and I hope we can win the cup (Europa League) this season. I also want to win the Champions League with United, that is my big dream” he said in a presentation.
