Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, the fan-favourite teenage drug dealer on HBO’s “Euphoria,” died just one week after his father was buried.
Cloud, whose real name is Conor Angus Cloud Hickey, passed away on Monday at his family’s home in Oakland, California, according to the Post. He was 25.
The actor’s family affirmed his death in a statement Monday to The Post: “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.” He statement added, “Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.”
“Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence,” the statement read. “We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
The Oakland Fire Department rushed to Cloud’s Oakland home at 11:30 a.m. Monday for a medical emergency, according to The Post.
According to the spokesperson, he was officially declared dead at the scene. Per protocol, the body was left in the care of the police department and coroner.
TMZ, which reported the news first, stated that Cloud’s mother called 911 and mentioned a “possible overdose” after she reportedly found him without a pulse.
