Belgium and Denmark make through to the last 16.

In a match between Belgium and Finland, Belgium scored two goals in the second half to beat the host by 2-0, this loss of match for Finland cost the group-stage exit from Euro 2020 and opened the doors for  Denmark through to the last 16.

The world’s top-ranked team beat Finland on Monday to finish in the first spot in Group B and join Italy and the Netherlands in qualifying with maximum points. Finland goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky’s 74th-minute own goal and Romelu Lukaku’s 81st-minute goal helped Belgium to finish top of Group B.

Finland finished in third place in its first appearance at a EURO 2020, after Denmark’s 4-1 victory over Russia in Copenhagen (Capital of Denmark). Now, Belgium as a top team from Group B will play one of the four third-place finishers in the round of 16 in Sevilla on Sunday.

Denmark through to Knockout phase

On Monday after a convincing 4-1 win against Russia, Denmark made it through to the last 16 knockout phases of Euro 2020 and finished second in Group B.

Goals from Mikkel Damsgaard, Yussuf Poulsen, Andreas Christensen, and Joakim Maehle gave Denmark their first win of the tournament on a cheerful evening at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen. Crazy fans showered each other with beer as Denmark bang in the goals which helped them to end the group stage in second place and qualify for the last 16. Denmark will face Wales in the last 16 in Amsterdam on Saturday.
