Treat Williams, a 71-year-old Hollywood actor died on June 12. His longtime agent revealed that he died in a motorbike accident. According to Barry McPherson, Williams’ agent for 15 years, the actor passed away when the motorbike he was riding collided with a car.
In a recent interaction with PEOPLE magazine, he said, “He was killed this afternoon. He was making a left or a right [and] a car cut him off. He was killed this afternoon. He was making a left or a right [and] a car cut him off. He was an actor’s actor. Filmmakers loved him. He’s been the heart of Hollywood since the late 1970s.”
Barry McPherson also added, “He was really proud of his performance this year. He’s been so happy with the work that I got him. He’s had a balanced career.”
Treat Williams made his movie debut in 1975 with ‘Deadly Hero’ and then proceeded on to feature in other films like ‘The Ritz’ and ‘The Eagle Has Landed’. He gained fame in 1979 as the lead in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical “Hair,” for which he received his first Golden Globe nomination.
After playing Dr. Andrew Brown in the television programme “Everwood” in 2002, he achieved another milestone. In 2003–2004, he was nominated for a SAG Award for outstanding male actor performance in a drama series.
