Fake Reviews: Amazon bans 3 more Chinese brands

Amid giant e-commerce online shopping website Amazon crackdown on attempt by sellers to put in for customer positive reviews, it bans 3 more Chinese brands in a row. The brands has been banned due to promoting “Made in China” products ands asking customers for their positive reviews on the Amazon website.

Which brands have been banned?

Citing the Guangdong SACA manufacturers, reports by South China Morning Post (SCMP) says that sale of the products under Shenzhen based electronic company Sunvalley has been banned.

Shenzhen Electronics is a group co. ltd based in China operates in electronic product development businesses. The company develops integrated circuits and energy-saving semiconductors. Shenzhen Electronics Group also provides microfinance, electronics wholesale, real estate development, and property management services.

Products mainly include – Taotronic earphones, VAVA cameras RAVpower power banks.

Why the brands have been banned?

The company found to be involved in suspicious activities like offering gift card on purchase to customers who are willing to type down positive reviews about the Chinese products in the community website.

According to investigation carried out by SACA, it stated that the reason for bans maybe the offer of gift cards to the customers who are willing to write positive reviews on the website which allegedly is against the Amazon’s community guideline.

How has banning the brands impacted the site?

The Amazon website has banned other brands also which were involved in activities against the community guidelines.

According to SCMP reports, since last month products listing from some of the biggest Chinese electronic gadgets have vanished from the website

However, Amazon have a zero tolerance policy towards violation of its rules, including asking a friend to leave a review.

Every day amazon shuts down thousands of stores for violating the rules and as said by Zack Franklin a Shenzhen-based Amazon consultant for merchants, this is a notable reasonable because the companies that are shut by Amazon every single day are some of the biggest brands/companies.
