Cricketing fans got amused after the Indian cricket side captain mentioned eggs in his diet.
Indian skipper who’s currently under quarantine in Mumbai ahead of flying to the English countryside for a power-packed cricketing tour in the coming months took to his Instagram and interacted with his fans terming the session ‘Ask Me Anything.
Fans posted numerous questions to Virat and the Indian top-order batsman ‘batted’ most of the questions ‘bowled’ at him. A fan who took the advantage of interacting with his favorite cricketing star asked the ace batsman about his diet.
Virat, who’s also a fitness icon to many youngsters was happy to answer this. He wrote, “Lots of vegetables, some eggs, 2 cups of Coffee, quinoa, lots of spinach, love dosas too. But all in controlled quantities.”
While some took a quick note of the healthy diet of the 32-year-old star, others pointed their fingers at the eggs, took Screenshots of Kohli’s reply, and shared some hilarious tweets.
Found anything fishy here? Here is the reason.
“I had a cervical spine issue which resulted in a tingling sensation in my little finger making it difficult for me to bat. It happened around the Centurion Test in South Africa in 2018. Moreover, my stomach became a bit acidic, my uric acid went high and my stomach started pulling calcium from the bones which actually resulted in the spine issue. Hence, I had to cut down on meat and now I feel better than ever”
The above comments were made by Virat Kohli when he had done an IG chat with former England captain Kevin Pietersen during the lockdown last year. Fans were not in a state to believe that a ‘vegan’ Kohli eats eggs.
Fans looked very much shocked in their tweets. But, can a person not change his diet chart after some time? Anyway, we wish Virat Kohli and the Indian cricket team luck for the upcoming tour.
