Farah khan praises Huma Qureshi for her powerful performance in Delhi Crime season 3

The new season of Delhi Crime has finally arrived, and Huma Qureshi has become the unexpected scene-stealer. Playing Meena, also known as Badi Didi, the actor takes on one of the darkest and most demanding roles of her career, and her performance has struck a chord with audiences and industry insiders alike. Among the most vocal admirers is filmmaker Farah Khan, who publicly expressed her amazement after finishing the latest season.

Farah shared stills of Huma on Instagram story and admitted she was “astounded and awed” by the actor’s range, adding that she rarely praises anyone unless she truly means it. She described the character as deeply disturbing and joked that she would now be “nicer” to Huma after watching her transform into someone so sinister. In a playful reply, Huma said she learned all her “monster behaviour” from Farah, sealing the moment with humour and warmth.

In Delhi Crime season 3, Huma plays the mastermind behind a human trafficking network, a role she described as a “Batman vs Joker” dynamic while speaking to HT. She said she wanted viewers to “love her as the most hated woman” in the show.

Helmed by Tanuj Chopra, the series explores the complex world of trafficking and follows the Delhi Police’s efforts to uncover its hidden layers. The show features Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Sayani Gupta and Mita Vashishth, and is streaming on Netflix to glowing reviews.

Meanwhile, Huma is gearing up for her next big project, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, a period gangster drama directed by Geetu Mohandas and led by Yash. The film, featuring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria and more, is slated for a 2026 release.
