Farah Khan’s new YouTube vlog has brought a wave of nostalgia as she visited cousin Farhan Akhtar’s home for a long, heartfelt chat. The filmmaker and choreographer took viewers inside their personal memories, revealing stories from years before Farhan became one of Bollywood’s most respected actors and filmmakers.
During the conversation, Farah shared that she and her brother Sajid Khan lived with Farhan’s family for several years, as Farhan’s mother had offered them support during a difficult phase. Farah recalled that this created a deep bond between the siblings, making their childhood full of shared experiences and close-knit moments.
One of the most striking memories she narrated was from Farhan’s college days. Farah remembered accompanying him for an admission meeting where his poor grades became a talking point. The college principal openly stated that she was approving his admission only because of lyricist Javed Akhtar’s name. Farah said that everyone felt humiliated by the remark, including Farhan’s father, who was visibly upset.
But the moment quickly turned amusing. Farah revealed that while everyone assumed Farhan was hurt, he casually asked his father to buy him masala bhel as they drove past Marine Drive. Javed Akhtar was shocked, scolding him and saying, “Sharam nahi aati?”
Farhan Akhtar is now gearing up for the release of 120 Bahadur, where he plays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. Directed by Razneesh “Razy” Ghai and shot across Ladakh, Rajasthan, and Mumbai, the war drama arrives in theatres on November 21, 2025.
