Farhan Akhtar likely to prioritise Jee Le Zaraa amid uncertainty around Don 3

Farhan Akhtar likely to prioritise Jee Le Zaraa amid uncertainty around Don 3

Farhan Akhtar’s much-discussed film Don 3 continues to remain in the spotlight, but not for reasons fans had hoped for. Following reports of Ranveer Singh’s exit from the project after the release of Dhurandhar, speculation around the future of the film has only intensified. Earlier, Kiara Advani and Vikrant Massey were also said to have stepped away, adding to rumours that the action franchise may be facing major delays.

Amid this uncertainty, online chatter recently hinted at Shah Rukh Khan possibly returning as Don, but only if Atlee were to take over the director’s chair. While no official confirmation has emerged on that front, new reports now indicate that Farhan Akhtar is shifting focus away from Don 3 for the time being.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, the filmmaker is reinitiating discussions around Jee Le Zaraa, the road-trip film starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, which was announced back in 2021. Farhan had earlier admitted that coordinating the three actors’ schedules was a challenging and emotionally draining process. However, the dates were eventually sorted, and the team was prepared to begin filming after a long wait.

Sources now claim that with Don 3 still stuck at the casting stage, Farhan felt it was the right moment to revive Jee Le Zaraa. The script is reportedly locked, and conversations with the three actresses have already begun. If their schedules align, the film could finally go on floors in the second half of 2026, bringing renewed hope to fans eagerly awaiting the project.
