Bigg Boss 19 wrapped up on December 7 with television actor Gaurav Khanna lifting the winner’s trophy and taking home ₹50 lakh. But soon after the finale, runner-up Farrhana Bhatt voiced her disappointment, saying she believed she was more deserving of the title.
Speaking to FilmyGyan, Farrhana criticised Gaurav’s performance on the show and even called his win “undeserving.” She said several contestants, including Amaal, Tanya and Pranit, played a bigger role in making the season memorable. “Even Kalpu Kaka, the tree Tanya used to talk to, contributed more than GK. In his journey video too, Baseer and Abhishek were shown more than him,” she said, adding that Gaurav didn’t even match 20% of Abhishek’s efforts.
Farrhana also accused him of subtly putting others down and “playing safe” without strong reasoning. Recalling the finale moment when Salman Khan raised Gaurav’s hand, she said she was “breaking from inside,” but held her composure on stage. What upset her further was Gaurav asking her to clap for him. “Tum jeet gaye lekin tumhari jeet bhi adhuri hai meri taaliyon ke bina?” she remembered thinking, before applauding him.
Their rivalry had been building since a captaincy task where Farrhana and Tanya teased Gaurav after he was betrayed by Shehbaz Badesha. She even questioned his claim of being a TV superstar, which left him emotional and angry. Gaurav had confidently declared he would lift the trophy and that Farrhana would clap for him, a prediction that ultimately came true.
