Nitin Gadkari, the road transport and highways minister said electronic toll collection device FASTag would become mandatory for all vehicles in India, starting 1st January 2021. The use of FASTag will help the passengers to save time and fuel, and they won’t have to stop at toll counters to pay the toll, said Gadkari at an online industry event.
