FC Barcelona to sell six players this summer, including club legend Sergio Roberto; Report

Barcelona is reportedly planning to sell as many as six players when the summer transfer market opens. The reigning La Liga winners aim to raise a large sum of money through the sale of those footballers. The Spanish giants intend to make some changes to their team ahead of the new season. Because Barcelona is going through a financial crisis, the club’s management must decide how much money they can invest to bring in new players.

Numerous media reports state that Deco, the club’s sporting director, is eager to add a left-wing attacker, a defensive midfielder and a backup for Alejandro Balde, the left-back. Furthermore, Barcelona may agree to a permanent deal with Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo, who are presently on loan. Barcelona needs to track its spending and the wage cap as per the Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules of La Liga before making them happen.

The Catalan club reportedly has a shortlist of six players who might leave the team during the upcoming summer transfer window, according to a recent report by Sport. It’s possible that Sergio Roberto, who has played for Barcelona his whole career, might leave. The Spanish full-back’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the current season, making him a free agent.

Marcos Alonso is reportedly confirmed to be leaving the club alongside Roberto. In the summer of 2022, he moved from Chelsea to Barcelona. Raphina, Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen and Jules Kounde have all considered leaving the club.
