Film Division celebrates World Environment Day by announcing virtual two-day Film Festival

The Film Division of India is all set to celebrate World Environment Day by announcing virtual two-day Film Festival.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Film Division of India has announced a 2-day film festival, named Oasis Of Hope. The virtual festival is all to go on-air on the 5th and 6th of June on their website and YouTube channel.

 

The Film Division of India have narrowed down on the theme of “Reimagine. Recreate. Restore” as the year 2021 marks the beginning of the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.

The event will see Pakistan, in collaboration with UN Environment Programmes (UNEP) as the host country with over 143 participant countries.

In a tweet, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting furnished the viewers with details preceding the event. The festival is to screen 6 films – beginning with Plastic World (7 minutes), The Jungle Man Loiya (21 minutes), The Green Crusader (43 minutes), Climate Change (14 minutes) and ending with another short film, My Son Neo (15 minutes).

The Film Festival Fraternity aims at building a conscious society to further environmental and sustainable goals by taking to all social media handles and encouraging viewers across the globe to join the two-day virtual screening.
