A fire broke out near Versova fish market on Tuesday afternoon. The blaze was classified as a level 1 fire in a four storeyed building in Versova’s Tere Galli.
The fire started at around 2.45 in the afternoon and was quenched by 3 pm. A few shops around the area are reported to be eviscerated in the fire. No injuries have been reported so far.
BJP leader and Versova MLA Dr Bharati Lavekar told Mumbai Mirror that the situation is taken into account and the fire is being brought under control
The incident occurred in a building situated opposite Shiv Sena’s party office.
