The Indian High Speed Rail (MAHSR) project running between Mumbai to Ahmedabad is currently being developed and is expected to be launched by 2023. The 503 km distance between the two cities will be covered by the Japanese curated E5 Series Shinkansen- Japan’s Bullet Train. The Japanese embassy has released a few pictures of the same. The train will connect the two cities within 2 hours by running at the speed of 320km per hour with the maximum speed being 350 km per hour. Japan is providing NHSRCL technical assistance.
