Bitcoin added its record-smashing rally on Saturday, beginning the year with a rise over $30,000 for the first time. The cryptocurrency traded as high as $33,099 with almost all other markets closed over the first weekend in 2021 on Saturday. It was last up by 12% at $32,883. Bitcoin added more than 300% in 2020, and with the latest leg higher has gained more than 50% crossing $20,000 just two weeks ago.
