Former Rashtra Sevika Samiti chief Pramiltai Medhe passes away at 97

According to a Sangh official, Pramiltai Medhe, a former pramukh sanchalika of the women’s RSS arm, Rashtra Sevika Samiti, died in Nagpur on Thursday morning. She was ninety-seven. For the last three months, Medhe has been ill. According to the functionary, her illness has been much worse during the past 15 days.

According to a statement from the Rashtra Sevika Samiti, she died at the Devi Ahilya Mandir in Nagpur at 9:05 a.m. She was the organization’s fourth sanchalika. Mohan Bhagwat, the leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and Shantakka, the head of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti, paid respects to Medhe at the Devi Ahilya Mandir.

“We have lost a source of affection with Pramiltai Medhe’s passing. She served as an example for us by working really hard under difficult circumstances in the Northeast. After honouring her, Bhagwat told reporters, “She will be missed, but her life will also serve as an inspiration for us.”

Sevika Rashtra Shantakka, the chief of Samiti, praised Medhe’s diligence. “She used to advise us on all matters and was constantly highly involved and vigilant. We have been inspired by her life, which was incredibly disciplined,” she continued.

Union minister Nitin Gadkari shared on X on Medhe’s life, “I am deeply saddened to hear the news of passing away of Pramil ‘Mausi’ Medhe, the former Sanchalika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti. I offer my heartfelt tribute to her. Pramil Mausi ji had an important contribution in expanding the work of Rashtra Sevika Samiti in the country. Her entire life was dedicated to patriotism and awakening the power of women.”

Hundreds of Swamisevaks have lost a mother figure with whom they could openly communicate all that was dear to their hearts, according to a Sangh official. On Friday morning, he continued, Medhe’s body will be donated to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Nagpur in accordance with her wishes.
