Tata Motors honoured the Indian Women’s Cricket Team after their ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 victory at a felicitation ceremony held at Bombay House on December 16, 2025.
As a mark of appreciation, the company announced that each member of the World Cup–winning team will receive a Tata Sierra, reinforcing Tata Group’s association with achievement and national pride.
The ceremony was attended by Tata Group Chairman N. Chandrasekaran and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Managing Director and CEO Shailesh Chandra. Mr. Chandrasekaran, in his address, said, “Just as July 1983 became a defining moment for a generation, November 2, 2025 will be remembered as the day the Indian women’s team claimed their World Cup. They played with passion, resilience and collective excellence, inspiring a new generation to dream big and persist. We are delighted that Tata Motors will recognise our champion cricketers and their support staff with a Tata Sierra, and we wish them the very best for their next challenge.”
Tata Motors stated that the gesture reflects a meaningful and personalised recognition of the team’s contribution to Indian cricket.
