Sony Pictures Networks India has appointed G. Dhananjayan as head of Tamil content, digital business for its video streaming service SonyLIV.
Dhananjayan will manage the launch of Tamil content to boost SonyLIV’s expansion plans for users who prefer programming in the language in India and international markets. He will be in charge of curating and expanding the Tamil content catalogue at SonyLIV.
Dr. G Dhananjayan has over 25 years of management experience and has held important leadership positions in cinema production houses, marketing and distribution divisions in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. He was previously associated with Blue Ocean Film and Television Academy (BOFTA), a film institute based in Chennai.
He has worked for companies including Kansai-Nerolac Paints, Saregama-HMV, Airtel, Vodafone, Moser Baer Entertainment, and Disney-UTV.

Dr. Dhananjayan has received numerous honours, including a PhD in the film business. He has achieved the title of the National award-winning author, twice, for his outstanding work on Cinema.
