Toxic: A Fairytale for GrownUps, one of the most awaited films of the year, is steadily building momentum ahead of its theatrical release on March 19. Starring Yash in the lead, the gangster drama recently unveiled its teaser on January 8, marking the actor’s birthday. Soon after, director Geetu Mohandas shared an emotional reflection on her collaboration with the star.
Taking to Instagram, Geetu described Yash as a rare blend of superstardom and artistic sincerity. She said she was proud not only of the performance audiences are yet to see but also of the discipline and emotional honesty he brought to the film every day. According to the filmmaker, Yash’s role in Toxic goes beyond acting, calling it a chapter he has etched into his artistic journey.
Geetu also highlighted Yash’s approach to storytelling, noting that he constantly questioned, explored, and surrendered to the demands of the narrative. She added that working with him allowed her to discover new depths of storytelling, while also experiencing his support as a producer throughout the project.
