Germany defeats Latvia 7-1 in their Euro’s final friendly game while Joachim Low’s forward line-up showed substantial bind ahead of group stages.
Started with Neuer, Kimmich, Ginter, Hummels, Rudiger, Gosens, Kroos, Gundogan, Havertz, Muller, and Gnabry, Germany scored two goals within two minutes as an early lead for them in minute 19′ when Kai Havertz passed to Robin Gosens who turned it into their first goal and Gundogan with the second at 21′. It had just been four minutes of the two goals while Thomas Muller made it 3-0 against not so good Latvia team.
Kai Havertz, the Champions League final winning goal scorer vs City, marked fourth goal intensely, that beat Roberts Ozols at 39′.Chelsea midfielder, Kai has now scored 4 goals in 14 matches with 9 assists and has been directly involved in a goal every 58 minutes, for the national team.
Germany ended the first half 5-0 with a clean sheet for Manuel Neuer when Serge Gnabry made no inaccuracy and converted Mats Hummels’ long pass into a brilliant finish. Bayern Munich star scored his 16th goal for the country in his 22nd match. Bundesliga goalkeeper Neuer received a guard of honour before the game who made his 100th appearance for the nation.

Gnabry and Havertz got substituted while Leroy Sane and Timo Werner replaced them in the second half. Werner, just after he came on the field as a half time substitute, turned Joshua Kimmich’s assist into 6th goal for the Germans at the 50th minute.
Meanwhile Aleksejs Saveljevs ruined the clean sheet for Manuel Neuer, scored his first international goal for Latvia at the 75th minute. With 6-1 up, the Germans replied to their clean sheet destroyers immediately in the next minute, when their half time substitute Leory Sane transformed Muller’s pass into 7th goal.
The match ended 7-1 in favour of Germany with 7 different goal scorers as their successful final friendly match ahead of Euros. They will be facing France on June 16 in the opening game of their UEFA Euro campaign.
