Gionee held for infecting 20 million phones with Virus

Gionee is a Chinese smartphone company which has now been held in the China Court for intentionally installing Trojan Horse virus via “Story Lock Screen” app in as almost 20 million smartphones between December 2018-October 2019. Using Pull method on a Dark Horse Platform, Gionee has managed to earn $4.2 million. The users were unaware of these practices due to the their stealth technology.  Members involved have been sentenced to prison and also a fine of CNY 200,000.
