Following the conclusion of the ICC World Cup 2023 final match, Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell had a wonderful moment. After the intense battle, Virat Kohli gifted Glenn Maxwell his signed jersey as a gesture of sportsmanship.
Following a six-wicket defeat to Australia in the World Cup final, the Indian players were left with shattered dreams and teary eyes. Despite a remarkable 10-match winning streak in the marquee event, the Men in Blue were beaten by the Aussies in all three departments.
Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell had a special exchange at the post-match handshake. Before the presentation ceremony, Kohli gave the Australian all-rounder his signed jersey. The ICC captured the moment and posted photos on its social media account.

Virat hit 54 runs off 63 balls as India’s national cricket team reached 240 runs in 50 overs. The right-handed hitter tried a defensive shot off Australia captain Pat Cummins, but the ball took an inside edge and hit the stumps.
Cummins became the 5th captain of Australia to lead the side to an ODI World Cup title. Previously, Allan Border (1987), Steve Waugh (1999), Ricky Ponting (2003 and 2007), and Michael Clarke (2015) accomplished this. In the last edition, they did not make it to the final.
