Global shares surge as Trump signs $2.3 trillion pandemic aid

Global shares rattled up on Monday as U.S. President Donald Trump signed into law a $2.3 trillion pandemic aid, a source said on Monday. Trump had earlier refused to sign into the pandemic aid and spending the package that the Congress has passed. This action was followed by Japan’s Nikkei rising by 0.4%, MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan rose 0.2%. Global currencies were also stimulated, the euro traded at $1.2204, a tad below its 2-1/2-year high of $1.22735, while the yen changed hands at 103.56 per dollar.
