Godfather of Harlem Season 3: Release date, Teaser and everything we know

Fans quickly connected with Forest Whitaker’s depiction of Bumpy Johnson in the Godfather of Harlem when he assumed the role in 2019. Since the show’s debut, Whitaker and the rest of the cast and crew have done an excellent job of demonstrating how Johnson was able to cling to his dominance in the criminal underground in New York City throughout the middle of the 20th century while being constantly challenged by Italian mafia members.

As a new character enters the picture, Godfather of Harlem season 3 hopes to push viewers beyond only the continuous conflict between Johnson and others like Vicente Gigante (Vincent D’Onofrio). Johnson also offers his support to the burgeoning Civil Rights Movement of the time to take part in a struggle that may call for even more fortitude and determination than what he is fighting to defend in terms of his business.

Godfather of Harlem Season 3 Plot

The official Godfather of Harlem season 3 plot summary is as follows:

“Season 3 will find Bumpy Johnson continuing to battle for control of Harlem, with other aspirants to the throne, namely the Cuban Mafia from neighboring Spanish Harlem. Taking on the Cuban mob will put Bumpy, his loved ones, and his community in the crosshairs of not only the rival Italians, but ruthless Latin assassins and, ultimately, the CIA. Godfather of Harlem is a collision of the criminal underworld and the civil rights movement during one of the most tumultuous times in American history.”
