‘Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire’ release date delayed amid ongoing strikes; Check out new release date and plot

Warner Bros. has pushed back Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire by a month as the studio shifts its 2024 schedule. The forthcoming MonsterVerse film is the sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong, which was first scheduled to premiere in March 2024. However, as actors continue to strike for fair wages and working conditions, studios are now starting to change their release dates to accommodate for the fact that stars are unable to promote new projects.

‘Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire’ New Release Date

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has pushed the release date of Dune: Part Two from November to March 15, 2024. As a result, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has been pushed back a month to April 12, 2024, from that date. This change has also postponed the release date of Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim from April 12, 2024, to December 13, 2024, for New Line and Warner Bros. Pictures Animation.

Godzilla x Kong and Dune: Part Two were among the first films to be postponed as a result of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes and they may not be the last. Because actors and writers are unable to promote their projects, the amount of publicity for their forthcoming film and television projects is severely limited. Barbie, Oppenheimer, and Star Wars: Ahsoka, which were released this summer before the start of the SAG-AFTRA strike, had the benefit of starting publicity and recording interviews with the actors before the strike began.
