Gold rates remain contracted, Silver prices surge

Gold prices remain contracted since the last couple of days while silver rates are seen to jump. Gold is currently shuffling between the ranges Rs.50,000- Rs.55,000. As per the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, the February futures for 10 gram of gold rose by 0.2% making it Rs.50,140. On the other hand, Silver rose by 1% costing Rs.68,847 per kg.
