Gold trades at ₹44,748, prices drop by more than ₹12,000 since 2020

Gold prices continued to fall as the metal lost ₹200 on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Thursday, March 4. Gold futures were at a low of ₹44,748 per 10-gram price dropped by 0.44%. Sliver future traded at ₹66,104 per kg with a loss of 0.01%.
Gold prices fell more than ₹12,000 per 10 gram from its record high in August 2020. Silver prices also fell from its high of ₹77,800 last year by more than ₹10,000 per kg.
Gold prices continue to fall as a result of rising yields of the US treasury. Gold maintained a steady price of $1,711.61 per ounce in the international market
