Gold trades at ₹44,748, prices drop by more than ₹12,000 since 2020

Gold prices continued to fall as the metal lost ₹200 on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Thursday, March 4. Gold futures were at a low of ₹44,748 per 10-gram price dropped by 0.44%. Sliver future traded at ₹66,104 per kg with a loss of 0.01%.

Gold prices fell more than 12,000 per 10 gram from its record high in August 2020. Silver prices also fell from its high of 77,800 last year by more than 10,000 per kg.

Gold prices continue to fall as a result of rising yields of the US treasury. Gold maintained a steady price of $1,711.61 per ounce in the international market
