Amid constant speculation about her marriage with Govinda, Sunita Ahuja has chosen to put the spotlight on the next generation of Bollywood. Recent reports suggested she had filed for divorce last year, but Govinda’s manager and daughter Tina Ahuja clarified that such claims were baseless. Brushing aside the chatter, Sunita opened up about her son Yashvardhan Ahuja’s much-awaited debut while also speaking about Ahaan Panday and Rasha Thadani’s entry into films.
In a candid interaction with Eat Travel Repeat, Sunita responded to a fan’s comment that Yashvardhan should have starred in Ahaan Panday’s debut film Saiyaara. To this, she reacted, “I wish. But usse better picture kar raha hai Yash.”
She further revealed that while she has not yet watched Saiyaara, her son has already seen it twice. “Maine abhi tak dekhi nahi hai. Yash ne do baar dekhi hai. Main dekhungi, mujhe dekhna hai. But abhi 14 tareek ko shayad aa raha hai naa Netflix pe (laughs). But good good. Best of luck to all the kids who are coming up. And I want ki sab bachhe khoob naam kamaye,” she said.
Sunita also spoke about Rasha Thadani, daughter of Raveena Tandon, who made her debut recently. “Yash ke saath hai uska. I have not met her still, like ‘met her’ met her. But Raveena ne mujhe phone ki thi, trial mein aane ke liye. Main Jaipur mein thi, Khatu Shyam. Main pooja kar rahi thi. Toh I told her I couldn’t come. But maine theatre mein jaake dekhi picture, achhi lagi mujhe. She’s a sweet girl. Raveena ka bachpan yaad aata hai,” she shared, adding that she admired Rasha’s work despite not meeting her formally yet.
