Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja recalls dramatic birth of son Yashvardhan, says she thought she wouldn’t survive

Sunita Ahuja opened up about an emotional moment from her life when she thought she might not survive the birth of her son Yashvardhan, leaving Govinda in tears.

Bollywood star Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja have been together for nearly four decades, and their love story has always been compared to a film script. The couple, who secretly tied the knot in 1987, has faced many highs and lows over the years. Recently, Sunita recalled one of the most dramatic and emotional moments of their lives, the birth of their son Yashvardhan Ahuja.

In an interview, Sunita revealed that during delivery she had gained a lot of weight and feared for her life. “When I was delivering my son Yash, I was 100 kgs. I thought I would die. Looking at me, Chi Chi (Govinda) started to cry,” she said.

She also shared that she told the doctor to save the child over her own life, adding, “Doctor, my husband wants a son. Please save the child, it is okay if I die in the process.” The situation left Govinda in tears, making it one of the most filmy moments of their journey together.

While the couple recently grabbed attention over reports of divorce, Govinda’s team has denied the claims, confirming there is no separation. Sunita, meanwhile, has launched her own YouTube vlog channel titled Simply Sunita Ahuja, which already boasts over 161K subscribers. Their son Yashvardhan is preparing for his Bollywood debut with Sai Rajesh’s upcoming film, while daughter Tina has already stepped into the industry.
