In the new three-part police drama Granite Harbour on BBC1, Small Axe actor Romario Simpson plays former soldier-turned-cop Davis Lindo.
After completing his last tour, he is transported to Scotland’s northeast to begin training as a detective constable. There, he is teamed with his trainer, DCI Tara “Bart” Bartlett (Annika star Hannah Donaldson). They must first solve the murder of an influential member of the oil sector.

Granite Harbour Plot
Granite Harbour explores the new life of Lance Corporal Davis Lindo (Romario Simpson), who aspires to work as a detective at New Scotland Yard after completing his final tour with the Royal Military Police. Instead, his aspirations are dashed and he is sent to Aberdeen to train as a detective constable, which is completely foreign to all the soldier has ever known. Fortunately, Davis is teamed up with DCI Tara “Bart” Bartlett, his mentor, a streetwise, razor-sharp Scotsman who is used to working alone. Together, the unusual pair must look into the death of one of Aberdeen’s most recognisable oil sector figures, which forces them into a legal dispute.

Davis Lindo, the main Granite Harbour character, is portrayed by Romario Simpson. In the latest episode of Noughts and Crosses on BBC1, he portrayed Barnaby Mabunda. He also portrayed Lizard in Small Axe and appeared in the TV series Dixi.
In the role of DCI Tara “Bart” Bartlett, Hannah Donaldson. She has previously acted in Scottish crime dramas including Case Histories and Rebus.
Dawn Steele, an actress best known for her roles in Holby City and Liar, plays their employer DCI Cora MacMillan in Granite Harbour. She instructs them to look into the murder of a prominent energy executive. The cast is completed by Gary Lewis (Vigil) and Fiona Bell (The Nest).
