Hakim Ziyech’s move from Chelsea to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in doubt due to medical reasons

Chelsea has been one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market in recent times, aiming to improve their squad for the coming season. They recently off-shored defender Kalidou Koulbably to Al Hilal and goalkeeper Edouard Mendy to Al-Ahli.

They are also expecting to finalise the transfer of Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech to Saudi Arabia, although the Moroccan’s transfer appears to be lagging owing to medical issues.

Ziyech will join Cristiano Ronaldo at the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr this summer, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano. Romano further stated that the winger shall undergo a medical examination with the Saudi Arabian club. “Understand Hakim Ziyech will undergo medical tests with Al-Nassr on Thursday as it has just been scheduled. All contracts are finally signed between player, Al-Nassr and Chelsea,” Romano had tweeted.

However, according to the most recent reports, Ziyech’s transfer to Al Nassr appears to have fallen through.

Al-Nassr and Chelsea FC had already agreed on a deal for Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, who would join Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi league for a  reported fee of £17 million. However, according to multiple French media sources, the player’s move may not be finalised owing to a medical issue.

According to reports, during Ziyech’s medical, Al-Nassr found a knee problem. It’s similar to what had previously occurred with Ziyech’s proposed winter transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
