“Hampering the transition to 5G technology” Ericsson on planning to sue Samsung Electronics

Ericsson (Swedish telecoms firm) is suing Samsung Electronics, U.S. in an alleged dispute stating that the South Korean firm has violated the laws of contractual commitments. The case aims to “seek and obtain” a ruling by the court that the Ericsson has complied with its own commitments. The firm claims that due to the dispute, Ericsson faces the risk of delayed royalty payments from unlicensed periods and the legal route will cost Ericsson around 1.5 billion kronor ($178 million) in the next quarter.
