Despite subsidized ticket prices across all chains, Suparn Varma’s film Haq, which starred Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi in the key roles, failed to record the much-needed rise on the second Tuesday. According to predictions, the film will only make Rs. 40 lakh today, which is a modest increase over its second Monday.
Haq made over Rs. 13.45 crore in its first week after opening with Rs. 1.80 crore. In the second weekend, it increased the total by an additional Rs. 3 crore, bringing the total to Rs. 16.45 crore net. The film, which is currently at Rs. 17.15 crore net, is anticipated to close its second week at Rs. 18 crore. After that, it will move closer to its lifetime goal, which is anticipated to be roughly Rs. 20 crore.
The Yami Gautam film is unfortunately coming to an end because Haq received excellent word-of-mouth but was unable to convert it into foot traffic. For those who don’t know, Haq draws inspiration from the historic Shah Bano v. Ahmad Khan case that rocked the nation in 1985. It is the second movie in Suparn Varma’s trilogy of judicial dramas; the first was Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.
