In the new trailer for 1923 Season 2, the legacy of the Dutton family’s ranch is in serious jeopardy. The Yellowstone prequel, which stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, shows the Duttons facing off against growing tensions and fresh threats as wealthy elites try to turn Montana into a high-end playground. These powerful figures are planning to turn the area into a ski resort, and one of them boldly vows, “I will destroy everything they’ve fought for,” targeting the Dutton family.
The trailer captures the high stakes, with one character warning, “I’m trying to prevent a war here,” to which Jacob Dutton (Ford) responds firmly, “It ain’t preventable.” It’s clear that a violent showdown is on the horizon as the Duttons prepare to defend their land against these outsiders.
Meanwhile, Spencer Dutton (Brandon Sklenar), a war hero with a deadly reputation, is on a dangerous journey back to Montana. His path is fraught with obstacles, including a gun aimed at him as he travels. Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) is also on a mission, determined to reunite with Spencer, adding even more urgency to the tense situation. Cara Dutton (Mirren) expresses her anxiety, saying, “I pray Spencer can get here,” reflecting the emotional strain on the family.
