Heavy rains demolish Rs 3 crore set of Chatrapathi bollywood remake

The set of Hindi remake of the Telugu movie ‘Chatrapathi’ starring Bellamkonda Sreenivas got destroyed due to heavy rain in Hyderabad.

The Hindi remake of the most popular south movie Chatrapathi is in its pre-production stage. The Hindi version of Chatrapathi will have the story unfolding in the Gujrat ambience.

The promising south actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, known for some great films like Alludu Seenu, Jaya Janaki Nayaka, Rakshasudu, Saakshyam, and more is all set to make his debut in Bollywood with this movie. The creators planned to begin the movie shooting from 22nd April at an enormous Rs. 3 crore worth village set in Hyderabad, that was constructed in a 6-acre land. Due to heavy rains in Hyderabad city, the enormous set was damaged. Now, the set will be reconstructing a few days before the commencement of the film’s shoot.

The untitled movie will be made on a huge scale and Bellamkonda Sreenaivas will undergo a complete makeover to play an action-packed character. The Hindi remake of Chatrapathi is being directed by VV Vinayak and produced by Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Studio. Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad, who wrote the story for the original, has written the script of the remakes as well.

Prabhas starrer Telugu movie Chatrapathi, which released in 2005, engaged a lot of popularity among the audience. The movie was directed by SS Rajamouli and it was his first collaborations with Prabhas. The action thriller movie turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office, the role of Chatrapathi Shivaji was played by Prabhas. Now, the Bollywood fans are desperately waiting for its Hindi remake.
