Veteran actor Himani Shivpuri recently delighted fans with a warm anecdote about Ranbir Kapoor, describing him as “gracious” and deeply respectful. Sharing a picture with the actor on Instagram, Himani revealed that during their recent meeting, Ranbir stood up and touched her feet, a gesture she said reflected his values and upbringing.
According to Himani, Ranbir greeted her with a compliment, telling her she looked the same. She fondly referred to it as the “RK charm and sanskar,” highlighting the actor’s humility despite his stardom.
The meeting also turned nostalgic as Ranbir recalled memories from the sets of Aa Ab Laut Chalen (1999), directed by his late father Rishi Kapoor. Himani, who was part of the film’s cast alongside Aishwarya Rai, Akshaye Khanna and Rajesh Khanna, shared that Ranbir remembered visiting the sets while he was studying in the US. She added that Rishi Kapoor would often encourage him to attend plays and musicals with her.
Himani also reminisced about her own US visit during that time, where she watched Broadway shows such as Cats, The Phantom of the Opera and The Sound of Music along with members of the film’s team.
Ranbir and Himani later worked together in Besharam (2013), which also featured Rishi Kapoor. Her recent post has since drawn attention online, with fans appreciating the actor’s respectful gesture.
