Hip-Hop sensation Magoo passed away at 50

Melvin ‘Magoo’ Barcliff, a founding member of the celebrated rap duo Timbaland & Magoo since 1989, has passed away. Magoo’s death was reported on August 13, sending shockwaves of sadness across fans and the music industry.

Among Magoo’s popular tracks are ‘Up Jumps Da’ Boogie’ from 1997, ‘We at it Again’ from 2000, and ‘Party People’ from 2001, all of which became beloved songs for fans to dance to.

Magoo’s unexpected death at the age of 50 has prompted tributes from fans around the globe, who are grieving the loss of the singer and rapper from Norfolk, Virginia.

R&B artist Digital Black (Benjamin Bush) of Dru Hill and Playa affirmed the rapper’s demise in an Instagram post shared on Sunday night. He penned, ‘Man can’t believe this RIP Magoo damn big bro wasn’t ready for this at all #superfriends [sic].’
