The Pacific Palisades home where Matthew Perry tragically passed away in October 2023 has managed to survive the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, as confirmed by the new owner, Anita Verma-Lillian, via an Instagram post on January 10. She expressed deep gratitude to the firefighters, neighbors, and the community for their support during the crisis.
A representative for Verma-Lillian clarified that the realtor who sold her the home, Brooke Elliot Laurinkus, played a crucial role in keeping the property safe during the wildfires, helping to monitor and protect it. Verma-Lillian also thanked Laurinkus for her assistance in keeping them updated and for offering support to others in need of temporary housing due to the fires.
In her message, Verma-Lillian reflected on the emotional significance of the community and her plans to honor Perry’s memory as the new owner of the house. She mentioned that the Palisades area would always hold a special place in her heart, echoing her commitment to supporting the neighborhood through the aftermath of the tragedy.
Verma-Lillian, a movie producer and real estate developer, had purchased the 3,500-square-foot property in an off-market deal in 2024. The house was reportedly one of Perry’s happiest places, having made renovations and calling it “heaven” before his passing from a ketamine overdose.
