Hot-air balloon rides to begin in Delhi from November 29: Locations, prices and other key details

According to news agency PTI, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) began testing hot-air balloon rides near Baansera on Tuesday. Reporters were informed by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena that he had tried the vehicle and was pleased.

The public will be able to enjoy the hot-air balloon rides starting on Saturday, November 29, according to the LG. According to him, each person’s ticket for the rides will cost ₹3,000, VAT excluded. The journeys would last between seven and twelve minutes, and each ride could accommodate four people, according to officials cited by PTI. A private company has been chosen by the DDA to provide hot air balloon rides at four locations in July.

The Yamuna Sports Complex, the Commonwealth Games sports complexes, and two other places along the Yamuna Bank at Asita and Baansera close to the Sarai Kale Khan region were the final options. “Tethered flights will be allowed for four hours per day. DDA may, however, extend it in accordance with criteria, the DDA stated in a statement. The bureau also stated that November through February is North India’s busiest time of year for ballooning.

These rides would greatly increase Delhi’s tourism potential by offering locals and tourists a distinctive aerial view of the cityscape, riverfront, and natural surroundings once they are fully operational at the other three locations.
